A call for all Churches to repent.

On the 14 April 2006 we were witnessing to people outside the town hall. It was a great opportunity to fulfil what Christ commanded in Mark 16:14 – 18 (NASB)
16:14Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who had seen him after he had risen. 16:15He said to them, "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16:16He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned. 16:17These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; 16:18they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
It’s amazing how many disobey this commandment. Some have an excuse that it has to be the will of God in your life and they don’t apply that to them selves. I believe that it’s about time the churches realised that it is time to come out of the box, stop doing the social gospel and preaching, “come to church” and start preaching about repentance.

The BBC was doing a secularised passion night, “a contemporary retelling of the last hours of Jesus” using music of secular Manchester bands like Oasis and The Smiths, etc. People think this is a Christian related program in fact it was quite the opposite. So many are led by a liberal “Gospel” that is more according to the world’s view than the Bible’s. It promotes a false image that we can honour God by turning the Gay village into Jerusalem, performers playing Jesus and the disciples, dressed in contemporary clothes, at the Last Supper with a “Big Mac”, and having a comedian “warming up” the crowds shouting for Barabas and “Crucify Him!”.

Isaiah 29:13 – 14 (NASB) Therefore the Lord said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvellously with this people, wondrously marvellous; And the wisdom of their wise men will perish, And the discernment of their discerning men will be concealed."

There is a Judgement that God will pass against the hypocrites and compromisers and churches that compromise. He will make them as dumb and remove any understanding from them, they will become as fools losing any understanding of the things of the spirit and they will become as the world acting with worldly wisdom thus sealing their own fate.

I urge the churches hereby to repent from their compromising ways and turn back to God while they still can, it grieves God to see this kind of thing to go on.

People will often comment, “what was wrong with it, surely it is some thing the churches could do with?” they forget what God says,

1 Corinthians 1:20 - 21 (NASB)

Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not {come to} know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 3:19 – 21 (NASB)

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, "{He is} THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS"; and again, "THE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS.” So then let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you.

To say this is a Christian event would be true in one sense of the word, because it’s the world’s version of Christianity, not a Christ-centred event. By having churches and “Christian” organisations involved in its promotion the BBC is promoting a version of the Gospel that is a farce.

Lets look at the back grounds of these bands the music was used; Oasis for example, a Manchester based band :

”Liam Gallagher married Kensit on April 7, 1997, preceding Oasis' much anticpated third album Be Here Now. Noel married his girlfriend Meg Mathews on June 5th. However, the wedding got off to a bumpy start. Gallagher made headlines after incident of road rage. He allegedly leaned out of his car window grabbed a cyclist and dragged him along. Fortunately the cyclist was not injured and Gallagher was given a caution[2]. In January 1998 Lisa Moorish, who now fronts Kill City, bore Gallagher a daughter, Molly, who was conceived during an affair with in Los Angeles only a week after he and Kensit were married. After an incident of air rage (aparently over a scone) on a flight to Australia, Liam was banned for life from Cathay Pacific airlines. Gallagher claimed he would "rather walk"[3]. During the tour of Australia, Gallagher was arrested and charged with asssault after allegedly head-butting a 19-year-old fan, who claimed he was only asking him for a photo. Criminal charges were later dropped although a civil case was pursued leading to Gallagher reportedly settling out of court. [4]. Liam later admitted the assault, claiming he only did it as he was being hassled by the fan.

On December 1, 2002 Gallagher broke several of his teeth and sustained injuries to his face after a fight broke in a Munich hotel. He and Alan White were arrested, but were released without charge. Oasis had to pull out of the shows in Munich and Düsseldorf due to Liam's injuries.”

All this is nothing more than a rock concert whose purpose is for entertainment.

The Bible says

2 Corinthians 6:14 – 18 (NSAB)

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

"Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.

"And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty.

Churches would rather use the world to promote the Gospel; this is wrong and spiritual adultery against God because they do the very thing that the world does.

Hear God’s warning.

Job 34:8 – 12 (NASB)

Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, And walks with wicked men?
"For he has said, 'It profits a man nothing When he is pleased with God.' "Therefore, listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do wickedness, And from the Almighty to do wrong. "For He pays a man according to his work, And makes him find it according to his way. "Surely, God will not act wickedly, And the Almighty will not pervert justice.

Luke 13:25 – 28 (NASB)

"Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door, saying, 'Lord, open up to us!' then He will answer and say to you, 'I do not know where you are from.'

"Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets'; and He will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you are from; DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU EVILDOERS.' "In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out.

I very much believe that we, as a nation in the United Kingdom, have forgotten God. We live in spiritual Babylon and there is no doubt that Judgement is coming, and it will start in God’s house! The churches will be purged to see who will be faithful to God. The sleeping churches will not expect it. I only pray that God’s hand of mercy will be extended on this country as we are more culpable than the United States and most countries in the west.
